Filipina nanny’s permanent residence application delayed because of child’s deafness

Karen Talosig, a nanny in Vancouver, applied for permanent residency 4 years ago, however, her application is on hold because her daughter is deaf and deemed a burden on the Canadian health care system. Read about it in CBC News.
