Young Vancouver immigrant receives prestigious scholarship

 15-year old Cheng Xie, who relocated to four different countries before deciding to settle down in Vancouver, was awarded Canada’s largest scholarship for students entering undergraduate studies in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).  The Schulich Leader Scholarship will provide $80,000 to Cheng when he begins his studies in the Faculty of Science at the University of British Columbia (UBC) this fall, making him the youngest recipient of this award.
