  2. Sprott Shaw College offers full scholarships to Syrian refugees

    13 refugees from Syria will receive scholarship worth up to $20,000 each from one of Sprott Shaw’s 13 colleges in BC. The scholarships will cover tuition, books and fees for one of the colleges programs, including Health Care Assistant Program, the Early Childhood Education Program, the Business Administration Bookkeeping Program, and many more.     With 25,000 Syrian refugees coming to Canada by the end of the year, according to the government, of which 3,000 to settle in BC, ISS of BC is looking for much-needed help in housing, employment assistance and settlement for the newcomers.
